Ordering & Pricing

10 questions
Our minimum order quantity is 250 units per design. This applies to every bag style and size we offer. We designed our process specifically around small and growing brands — so whether you need 250 bags for a product launch or 100,000 for a national rollout, the process is exactly the same.

If you want to order multiple designs, each design has its own 250-unit minimum. Ordering multiple designs together often qualifies for a combined volume discount — contact us to discuss.
Pricing depends on bag size, style, quantity, and finish. As a general guide:
  • 250–499 units: from $0.38–$0.95 per unit
  • 500–1,999 units: from $0.28–$0.75 per unit
  • 2,000–9,999 units: from $0.18–$0.55 per unit
  • 10,000+ units: from $0.10–$0.40 per unit
The best way to get an exact price is to request a free quote. We respond within 2 business hours with a detailed breakdown. Shipping is always included — $0.00 extra.
Fill out our free quote form with your bag style, size, quantity, and any special requirements. We respond within 2 business hours on weekdays with a full price breakdown — no hidden fees, no pressure. Alternatively, call us at +1 (800) 000-0000 and we'll walk you through pricing over the phone.
⚡ 2-Hour Response
Yes. Pricing decreases significantly with volume. Orders over 500 units receive automatic price breaks, and orders over 5,000 units are quoted individually for the best possible rate. We also offer loyalty pricing for repeat customers — if you've ordered from us before, ask about our repeat order discount.
We accept all major credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Amex, Discover), PayPal, bank transfer (ACH/wire), and Zelle for US customers. Net-30 payment terms are available for approved business accounts with a minimum order history. Contact us to apply for net-30 terms.
Cancellations are time-sensitive because we begin processing immediately:
  • Within 2 hours of payment: Full refund, no questions
  • After 2 hours, before proof approval: 50% refund — design work has started
  • After proof approval: No refund — production is underway
To cancel, email support@custommylarbags.shop immediately with subject line "CANCELLATION REQUEST — [Order Number]".
Absolutely — and reorders are faster than first orders. We store your approved artwork files permanently in our system. Just contact us with your previous order number, confirm your quantity, and we'll send a proof for approval within 24 hours. No redesign fees, no setup charges. Reorders often qualify for lower pricing too.
Yes. We offer physical sample packs for most bag styles — a small quantity printed with your actual artwork before your full run. Sample orders typically take 5–7 business days. There is a small fee for samples which is fully credited toward your main order. Contact us to request a sample.
Yes. A detailed invoice is automatically emailed to you after every order. It includes a full itemised breakdown of bag costs, any applicable rush fees, and a confirmation that shipping is $0.00. If you need a custom invoice format for your accounting team or an amended document, just let us know and we'll sort it.
Free shipping applies to all US domestic orders. We also ship to Canada for a flat $35 CAD shipping fee. For orders outside the US and Canada — including the UK, Australia, and Europe — please contact us for an international shipping quote. Import duties and taxes for international orders are the buyer's responsibility.

  • 2 oz / 7g — 4" × 6.5"
  • 3.5 oz / 14g — 5" × 8"

  • 1/4 lb — 7" × 11"
  • 1/2 lb — 8" × 12"
  • 1 lb — 10" × 14"
  • 5 lb — 12" × 20" (bulk storage)
We also offer fully custom dimensions — contact us with your exact measurements if you need a non-standard size.
We offer six main bag styles:
  • Stand-Up Pouches (SUP) — most popular, self-standing with gusset bottom
  • Flat Bottom / Box Bags — premium shelf appearance, rigid flat base
  • 3-Side Seal Flat Bags — economical, great for single-use products
  • Child-Resistant Exit Bags — ASTM D3475 certified, required for cannabis retail
  • Holographic Mylar Bags — iridescent rainbow finish for maximum shelf impact
  • Spouted Pouches — resealable spout for liquids and gels
3 mil — Lightweight products with short shelf life (under 3 months). Good for samples.

3.5–4 mil — The most popular choice. Ideal for cannabis, food, and supplements with up to 12-month shelf life.

4.5–5 mil — Heavy products, premium feel, or long shelf life (12+ months). The bag feels noticeably more substantial — customers associate this with higher quality.
Yes. All our mylar bags feature a multi-layer aluminium barrier construction that blocks odours completely when the zipper is sealed. The aluminium layer creates an impenetrable barrier against gases, moisture, light, and oxygen — which is why mylar is the preferred material for cannabis, coffee, and long-shelf-life food products.
✅ All Bags Smell-Proof When Sealed
Yes. All our mylar bags are made from food-contact-approved materials under 21 CFR regulations and are BPA-free as standard. They are safe for direct contact with food, supplements, and edibles. We can provide material compliance documentation on request for regulatory or audit purposes.
✅ FDA Compliant & BPA-Free
Standard bags use a press-to-close reclosable zipper — the same style used in premium food and cannabis packaging. Child-resistant bags use either a press-and-slide CR zipper or a pinch-and-lift CR mechanism depending on the bag style. All zippers are tested for seal integrity before shipment.
Yes. We offer a clear PET window on most stand-up and flat-bottom bag styles. The window can be positioned on the front panel, back panel, or side gusset. Window bags are great for food products where customers want to see the product before buying. Note that window bags do not offer the same full opacity as standard mylar — so they're not recommended for light-sensitive products.
Yes. We offer a compostable pouch range made from bio-based PLA film — fully compostable in industrial composting facilities. These bags maintain good barrier properties and can be printed with the same quality as standard mylar. They are popular with organic food brands, eco-conscious supplement companies, and any brand that wants to reduce their packaging footprint. Minimum order quantities may be higher — contact us for details.
Beyond standard construction, we offer several add-on features:
  • Tear notch — for easy opening without scissors
  • Euro hang hole — for retail peg display hanging
  • Round bottom gusset — for premium stand-up appearance
  • Matte/gloss spot UV — selective gloss areas over matte finish
  • Embossed logo — raised texture on your brand mark
  • Degassing valve — essential for fresh coffee packaging

Design & Artwork

8 questions
Yes — completely free on every order, no conditions. Our in-house design team will:
  • Place your logo and artwork correctly on the bag template
  • Set up your CMYK colour profile for accurate printing
  • Ensure correct bleed zones and safe areas
  • Add any text, compliance labels, or nutritional info you provide
  • Create a full dieline-accurate digital proof for your approval
If you need a full brand design (logo creation, colour palette, typography) from scratch, that's a separate paid service — but placing and preparing your existing artwork is always free.
🎨 Free On Every Order
Preferred (best quality): AI, EPS, or PDF with fonts outlined and artwork in CMYK colour mode at 300 DPI.

Accepted: PSD, PNG, or JPG at minimum 300 DPI at print size.

We do not recommend JPG or PNG for logos — these are raster formats that can print blurry if they're low resolution. Always use vector files (AI/EPS) for logos and text wherever possible.
Within 24–48 hours of receiving your order and artwork, our design team creates a high-resolution digital mockup showing exactly how your bags will look when printed — including all text, colours, and layout on the actual bag shape.

We email this to you for review. You can request as many revisions as you need — there is no limit. Once you reply with your approval, production starts the same business day.
Unlimited. We revise your proof until it's exactly right. Most orders are approved within 1–2 rounds of revisions. We've never charged for revisions and never will — your final product has to be right.
That's perfectly fine — and very common, especially for first-time orders. Send us your logo, your brand colours (hex codes or Pantone if you have them), and any text you want on the bag (product name, weight, compliance text, etc.). Our design team will build a complete bag design from these elements. You'll see the first proof within 48 hours.
For standard CMYK printing, we match colours as closely as possible to your supplied artwork. If exact colour matching is critical (e.g. a registered brand colour like Tiffany Blue or UPS Brown), we recommend specifying a Pantone (PMS) colour. Pantone spot colour printing is available on select runs — ask us when requesting your quote.
This depends on your product type and market. As a general guide:
  • Food products: FDA requires nutrition facts, allergen declarations, and net weight
  • Cannabis (US): State-specific warnings, THC content, batch numbers — varies by state
  • Supplements: Supplement facts panel, serving size, manufacturer details
  • All products in California: Prop 65 warning if applicable
We can help you lay out compliance text correctly on your bag design, but the content itself is your responsibility. Always verify requirements with your local regulatory authority.
Yes. We provide dieline templates (in AI and PDF format) for all our standard bag sizes and styles. Simply contact us specifying your bag size and style and we'll email the template within a few hours. The template includes all bleed zones, safe areas, and fold lines clearly marked.

Printing & Materials

8 questions
For orders under 5,000 units, we use digital printing — which delivers excellent colour accuracy with fast turnaround and no plate setup fees. For orders above 5,000 units, we use rotogravure printing — the industry standard for high-volume flexible packaging that produces exceptionally consistent, vivid colour across large print runs.
We offer six finish options:
  • Matte lamination — flat, sophisticated, no glare. Most popular for premium brands
  • Gloss lamination — shiny, vibrant colour pop. Great for food and candy
  • Soft-touch matte — velvety texture, ultra-premium feel. Commands higher perceived value
  • Metallic/foil — reflective silver or gold sheen
  • Holographic — rainbow iridescent shimmer. Maximum shelf impact
  • Matte + spot gloss UV — matte base with selective gloss areas (e.g. gloss logo on matte bag)
Screens display colours in RGB, printers use CMYK — so there is always some difference between what you see on screen and what prints. We work within an industry-standard tolerance of ±10% colour variance.

To minimise surprises: always submit artwork in CMYK mode, not RGB. If you have specific brand colours, supply Pantone references. And if colour precision is critical, ask about physical sample proofs before committing to your full run.
Our standard mylar bags use a 4-layer construction:
  • Layer 1 (outer): PET (polyester) — print surface, scratch resistance
  • Layer 2: Aluminium foil — light, oxygen, and moisture barrier
  • Layer 3: PET (inner) — structural support
  • Layer 4 (inner): PE (polyethylene) — food-safe contact layer and heat-seal layer
This combination gives you maximum barrier protection, durability, and print quality.
Yes. Full 360° printing is available — front panel, back panel, and gusset sides. You can have completely different artwork on the front and back, which is common for brands that want their brand on the front and product information, nutritional facts, or compliance text on the back.
Yes. White ink printing is available and is essential for bags with metallic or holographic base films — without a white ink layer underneath, colours appear transparent against the metallic surface. On standard silver/aluminium mylar, a white base layer is automatically applied before your artwork colours to ensure vibrancy and opacity.
Every order goes through a multi-point quality inspection before packing:
  • Colour check against approved digital proof
  • Seal integrity test on zipper closure
  • Visual inspection for print defects, smearing, or misalignment
  • Bag structure check (no tears, correct dimensions)
  • Quantity count verification
Orders that fail any inspection point are reprinted before shipping. Our defect rate is under 0.8%.
Unfilled mylar bags store well for 12–24 months in normal indoor conditions (away from direct sunlight, heat, and moisture). The print, lamination, and zipper all remain fully functional throughout that period. We recommend storing unused bags in their original packaging in a cool, dry environment.

Compliance & Safety

7 questions
A child-resistant mylar bag uses a specially designed zipper or closure mechanism that is difficult for children under 5 to open but easy for adults. CR bags must pass ASTM D3475 testing to be certified.

Whether you need CR bags depends on your product and state. In most US states where cannabis is legal, CR packaging is mandatory for all retail cannabis products. For food and supplement products, CR is typically optional but increasingly popular as a brand differentiator.
🔒 We Offer ASTM D3475 Certified Bags
Our CR-certified bags meet federal ASTM D3475 standards, which satisfy the child-resistance requirements in all US cannabis-legal states. However, individual states have additional requirements around labelling, opacity, and warning text that go on your design — not the bag itself.

We recommend verifying your specific state's packaging rules with a compliance consultant or your state's cannabis regulatory body. We can help with the bag itself — the regulatory text is your responsibility.
Yes. All bags are BPA-free, non-toxic, and food-contact safe under US FDA 21 CFR regulations. The inner PE layer that contacts your product is a food-grade, inert material. We can supply material safety data sheets (MSDS) and food-contact compliance documentation on request for quality assurance or regulatory purposes.
✅ BPA-Free & FDA 21 CFR Compliant
California's Proposition 65 requires a warning label if your product or its packaging contains any of 900+ listed chemicals above certain thresholds. Whether your specific product requires a Prop 65 warning depends on its contents — not the bag itself. We recommend consulting a compliance attorney or checking the OEHHA database if you sell in California. If required, the warning text goes on your bag design as a printed label.
Yes. On request, we can provide:
  • ASTM D3475 child-resistance certification (for CR bags)
  • FDA 21 CFR food-contact compliance documentation
  • Material safety data sheets (MSDS)
  • BPA-free certification letters
  • Compostability certificates (for eco bag range)
Request these when placing your order or email us at support@custommylarbags.shop.
Yes. We work with packaging resellers, dispensary suppliers, and wholesale distributors. If you're ordering to resell to multiple end customers, contact us about our wholesale pricing programme. Volume commitments unlock significantly lower per-unit pricing and priority production scheduling.
Standard mylar bags are fully opaque — the aluminium layer inside blocks all light and makes the bag completely non-transparent. This is required in many cannabis regulations and is preferred by brands that want product contents completely concealed. If you want a window, we offer that as an optional add-on. Clear window bags are not opaque at the window section.

Shipping & Delivery

8 questions
$0.00. Shipping is 100% free on every US domestic order. No minimum order, no coupon code, no conditions. It's automatically applied at checkout and reflected in your invoice. This includes FedEx, UPS, and DHL shipments. Free shipping also covers Hawaii, Alaska, Puerto Rico, and all US territories.
🚚 Always Free — No Exceptions
Total timeline from order to delivery is typically 10–16 business days:
  • Day 1–2: Proof creation and approval
  • Day 3–10: Production (7–10 business days after proof approval)
  • Day 11: QC inspection, packing, and dispatch
  • Day 12–16: Carrier transit to your location (1–5 days depending on region)
The fastest way to speed up your order is to approve your proof quickly. Every day of delay in proof approval adds a day to your delivery date.
The moment your order is dispatched, you receive an automatic email with your carrier name and full tracking number. Use this to track your shipment in real time on the carrier's website. If you haven't received a tracking email within 24 hours of your expected dispatch date, check your spam folder first — then contact us at support@custommylarbags.shop.
Yes. Rush production is available on most products:
  • Rush (4–6 business days): +20% surcharge on order total
  • Super Rush (2–3 business days): +35% surcharge on order total
Shipping is still free on all rush orders — the surcharge is for production only. Contact us before ordering to confirm rush availability for your specific bag type, as not all styles support super rush timelines.
We ship via FedEx, UPS, DHL, and USPS — whichever provides the fastest and most reliable service to your specific location. We don't let customers choose the carrier as we select the optimal option for each shipment. For freight orders (10,000+ units), we use specialist freight carriers and can arrange liftgate service for locations without a loading dock.
All shipments are fully insured at replacement value. If your order is damaged or lost in transit:
  • Contact us within 48 hours of delivery with photos of damaged packaging
  • We file a carrier claim on your behalf
  • We reship your complete order at no charge, or issue a full refund — your choice
You will never pay twice for a lost or damaged shipment.
Standard parcel orders (under 10,000 units) can be shipped to P.O. Boxes via USPS. Larger freight orders require a physical delivery address — P.O. Boxes are not accepted for freight. If you're unsure, use a physical address for all orders to ensure no delays.
Yes. We can split a single order and ship to multiple addresses — for example, distributing to multiple dispensary locations or warehouse facilities. There is no extra charge for split shipping within the US — it's still all free. Contact us before ordering to set up split delivery so we can coordinate the logistics.
